CLEAR Research Program

Clinical Local Environmental Air and Regulatory Intelligence. CLEAR Research integrates environmental, geographic, regulatory, healthcare, and community data to study patterns relevant to respiratory and public health.

Program overview

CLEAR Research brings together data that is usually kept separate — environmental measurements, geographic context, regulatory and permitting records, healthcare utilization, and community conditions — to describe patterns that are relevant to respiratory and public health. The program emphasizes documented provenance, transparent methods, and careful, non-causal interpretation.

Data Principles

How we work with data

Provenance

We document where each dataset comes from and how it was obtained.

Reproducibility

We publish methods so that analyses can be examined and repeated.

Privacy

We handle data in privacy-protective ways and work with aggregate measures where appropriate.

Transparency

We disclose data sources, agreements, and limitations.

Appropriate licensing

We use data consistent with its license and terms.

Public dissemination

We publish findings and resources for public benefit.

Non-causal language

We avoid causal claims where the data do not support them.

Relationship to PulmHealth LLC

Certain data, software, or analytical capabilities may be made available to PulmHealth Foundation by PulmHealth LLC under written research-use agreements. PulmHealth Foundation independently determines its research methods, interpretations, and publication decisions.

PulmHealth Foundation is a separate legal entity from PulmHealth LLC. The Foundation does not represent that it owns any commercial CLEAR platform. This program refers to the Foundation's own research activity.

Research outputs

As the program matures, outputs may include public reports, academic publications, data briefs, public-use datasets, methods documentation, community reports, and interactive maps. Outputs will be published with methods and limitations as work is completed.
