Research Ethics

These principles guide how PulmHealth Foundation conducts and publishes research.

Principles

• Public benefit: research is conducted and published in the public interest.
• Scientific integrity: sound methods and honest reporting, including of negative or inconclusive results.
• Responsible data use: data is used consistent with its source, license, and applicable law.
• Privacy: we favor aggregate, privacy-protective measures and apply suppression where appropriate.
• Reproducibility: we publish methods and documentation so work can be examined and repeated.
• Conflict disclosure: relevant interests are disclosed, and conflicted parties recuse themselves.
• Publication independence: sponsors and contributors do not control methods, findings, or publication.
• Appropriate limitations: every output states its limitations.
• Non-causal interpretation: we use observational language where the data do not support causal claims.
